While we celebrate our honorees, this evening also offers a chance to network, build relationships, and connect with fellow business and community leaders at a festive and elegant waterfront venue, Soundview Caterers.

Kris Baker, Baker Air – Heating & A/C
Corporate Pinnacle Award
Recognizing achievements and leadership in corporate and humanitarian endeavors that enrich the lives and health of the Glen Cove community and beyond.
Born in 1979, Kris grew up learning the value of hard work and craftsmanship by assisting his father, Paul Baker in the HVAC field from the age of five. This early hands-on experience sparked a lifelong dedication to technical skill, problem-solving, and service in the HVAC field.
In 1998, he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer. His service included assignments in Alabama, Korea (1998–1999), and Fort Bragg (1999–2003). While stationed at Fort Bragg, he completed both Airborne School—logging an impressive 147 jumps—and Air Assault School, where he mastered rappelling from buildings and helicopters. He was among the first wave deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, proudly serving his country with honor and distinction.
After leaving the military in 2004, he transitioned into the private sector, working in Loss Prevention for the TJX Companies while attending school in the evenings for HVAC, continuing the trade that first shaped his childhood.
In 2010, he welcomed his first daughter, Olivia Jean Baker, followed by his second daughter, Cora Nu Baker, in 2014.
In 2011, combining his technical expertise and entrepreneurial drive, he founded Baker Air, a company built on integrity, reliability, and excellence in HVAC services. Kris and the Baker Air team take pride in servicing Glen Cove, Port Washington, and the surrounding towns and is a proud member of the Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce.

Allen Hudson, Glen Cove High School Principal
Leadership Award
Honoring an individual who provides an inspiring role model through service, leadership, and dedication to the well-being of others.
Allen Hudson III, a lifelong resident of Glen Cove, New York, is a dedicated educator and community leader with 29 years of experience in education. A proud 1991 graduate of Glen Cove High School, Allen has devoted his life to uplifting students and families in his hometown and beyond. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law and World Studies from SUNY Old Westbury College and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the College of New Rochelle.
The son of Allen Hudson Jr., one of the first men to knock down the legendary Cassius Clay (later Muhammad Ali), and Betty Delores Hudson, Allen grew up in a household that emphasized resilience, excellence, and community service. These values have deeply influenced his life and career.
Allen began his career as a Youth Coordinator for the Glen Cove Boys and Girls Club and a Youth Worker at the Glen Cove Economic Opportunity Council (EOC), roles that shaped his commitment to mentoring and empowering young people. He went on to teach Social Studies at Intermediate School 59 in New York City and served as a Student Support Advisor at Walt Whitman High School in South Huntington. He further honed his leadership skills as Dean of Students at Baldwin Senior High School before returning to Glen Cove High School, where he served as Assistant Principal for 17 years. Currently, Allen is honored to serve as the tenured Principal of Glen Cove High School, a role he has held for 3 plus years.
As principal, Allen is passionate about enhancing the educational and social-emotional experiences of the school’s diverse student body. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he partnered with Long Island Harvest and NOSH to establish the Glen Cove High School Food Pantry, which provided critical support to over 450 families in need. His leadership extends beyond the school walls, as he actively contributes to the Glen Cove EOC and the Alumni for Youth Scholarship/Mentorship program. Recipient is the PTSA Diamond Leadership award in 2018 and the I Am My Sister Black History Community Award recipient in 2024.
Allen is also a co-founder of Game 7 AAU Basketball, which has helped numerous students earn athletic scholarships to Division I and II colleges. Additionally, he participates in the "I Am My Brother" and "I Am My Sister" programs, fostering mentorship and empowerment within the community.
Allen’s dedication to education and service is fueled by his belief in positivity and encouragement. His favorite quotes, including Maya Angelou’s wisdom that “People will never forget how you made them feel,” exemplify his approach to leadership and life.
On a personal note, Allen is a devoted husband to his wife, Kimberly, and a proud father of four: Taylah, Tristyn, Trinity, and AJ. A former collegiate basketball player and once an aspiring breakdancer, he carries that same energy, passion, and creativity into every aspect of his life. Above all, Allen is driven by an unwavering commitment to helping his family and especially the students and staff of Glen Cove High School.
Through his unwavering commitment to education and community, Allen Hudson III stands as a pillar of inspiration and leadership in Glen Cove and beyond, carrying forward a legacy of excellence and service inspired by his remarkable parents.

The Shoppe by Trubee Hill – Adam & Ian Siegel
Small Business Achievement Award
Acknowledging resourceful entrepreneurs who invigorate the business community with their charitable contributions while providing valuable resources to residents and the region.
Husbands Adam & Ian Siegel founded “By Trubee Hill” in 2020, as a COVID era hobby. Their scented all natural soy wax candles were hand poured in their home, “Trubee Hill” in Glen Cove. Sold online at trubeehill.com and originally as a Saturday morning staple at the Deep Roots Farmer’s Market, “By Trubee Hill” candles and room spray become a community favorite. As their business grew, Adam & Ian took the next step of opening a storefront in the new Village Square apartment and retail complex.
THE SHOPPE by Trubee Hill opened in doors as the first retailer in the Village Square in June of 2022. Today their candles are now hand poured in their shoppe in the heart of downtown. In addition to their very popular candle, room spray and reed diffuser line, THE SHOPPE offer a full an extensive offering of unique gifts, home décor, food pantry staples and more for all the seasons throughout the year.
The overall of theme for their business is local pride and community. Through the year, THE SHOPPE hosts multiple shopping events to help support local charities and organizations and they won “Best Gift Shop” on Long Island by the Long Island Herald’s “Long Island Choice Awards” consecutively in 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025.

Dean Mayreis
Community Service Award
Presented to a distinguished individual for selfless and compassionate service that benefits community members and associations.
Dean Mayreis is the secret sauce that makes anyone and everyone look good! Dean is an engineer with a brain full of information files that knows how the material world around him works, why it works, what it’s made of, what could possibly go wrong with it, how to troubleshoot it and how to fix it exactly and precisely like new in his inimitable way! Or he’ll just redesign the whole thing!
Dean is generous with his abundant knowledge and expertise as well as his time. He has been a dependable support arm and an invaluable resource to Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce, devoting countless hours behind the scenes and boots on the ground running many events including Culinary Delights, galas, fairs and festivals over the past 25 years, and now, Deep Roots Farmers Market. At North Country Reform Temple, Dean cochaired annual community yard sales and food drives, served on their Board as Chief of Building and Grounds, he builds their sukkah every year and has been an integral part of mostly all their events.
For many years, Dean has volunteered for Foundation for Wellness Professionals, Rotary Youth Leadership Association (RYLA), NY Chiropractic Council Food drives, Marines toy drives and helped to run Rotary Club movie nights. Friends and family call him for advice on cars, appliances, computers, adhesives, mathematics and more!
Dean is a lifetime resident of Glen Cove and is a 1971 alumnus of GCHS. He received his Electrical Engineering degree from Florida Institute of Technology. A legacy of community service dates back to his grandfather and great grandfather who also received recognition for their contributions in their home towns. Dean is married 44 years to Maxine who says she wants to keep him, and their 23 year old twins Glory and Jesse are leaders in Rotary Youth Leadership Association.

Antonio & Olga Mazilu, Scoop N Fruit Ice Cream
New Business Award
Celebrating entrepreneurial vision that transforms ideas into reality while maintaining strong community involvement.
Antonio and Olga are the husband-and-wife founders behind Scoop N Fruit, a family-owned dessert shop bringing a taste of New Zealand–style real fruit ice cream, crepes, and waffles to the heart of Glen Cove, New York.
Their journey began with a shared passion for quality ingredients, creativity, and community. Inspired by the real fruit ice cream concept, Antonio and Olga set out to introduce something refreshingly different to Long Island — a place where families, friends, and neighbors could gather and enjoy handcrafted treats made with real fruit, care, and joy.
Before launching Scoop N Fruit, both Antonio and Olga built successful careers at Delta Air Lines, where they developed their leadership, teamwork, and service-first mindset — qualities that now shape the welcoming, community-driven spirit of their shop.
Together, they’ve grown Scoop N Fruit from a dream into a local favorite and expanding brand known for its creativity, bright pastel aesthetic, and dedication to delivering happiness in every scoop.
Proud parents of five wonderful children, Antonio and Olga balance family life and entrepreneurship with heart, humor, and a deep belief that success is sweetest when it’s shared.

A portion of the Awards Celebration proceeds helps fund the Dr. Glenn Howard Jr. Scholarship that is awarded annually to our local graduating students in Glen Cove; as well as supporting local businesses and community events & organizations.
